  Bookkeeper: Part-Time

Vermont Association of Area Agencies on Aging (V4A) is seeking an experienced bookkeeper for approximately 8 hours per week to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities:
  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • Human resource paperwork, such as assistance with payroll
  • Communicate and collaborate with vendors and with payroll company
  • Coordinate bank deposits
  • Regular financial reporting to management and accountant
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Assist with tracking payments from trainings, conferences and grant awards
  • Filing of financial records

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field is required with 3 years of experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, technical skills and ability to link information together
  • Self-motivated team player with a strong ability to interact with individuals at all levels
  • Experienced in using Quickbooks and generally technically savvy
